The third round on “Road to Kingdom” continued with amazing collaborations from the remaining teams!
On June 4, Mnet’s “Road to Kingdom” showed the second and third pair of groups performing their collaboration efforts after TOO and VERIVERY started performing BTSs “ON” together last week.
PENTAGON and ONF decided to go on stage to play BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love”. PENTAGON boss Hui shared the pressure he felt when he said, “This is a song I have previously arranged for, and I think because PENTAGON and ONF are performing together we have to show a different side. ”However, when he shared the arrangement with the teams, both PENTAGON and ONF were happy with it and said,” It’s like you wrote a film. “
Hui later said, “We were lucky enough to be able to perform with ONF and it would be great if we could get in first.”
The boyz and ONEUS then performed their collaboration cover of Sunmi’s “Heroine”. They chose the song with the aim of showing a completely different mood than the intensive performances of the other teams. The Boyz Sangyeon said that they wanted to do a touching performance by focusing a little more on singing than on dancing.
The title of the song in Korean is a gender-neutral word for a “main character” or “star”, and the teams indicated that they would give a performance that told their stories and to which all participants could refer. They contained the sound of fans from all groups on the show cheering each one of them. The teams that were watching backstage were surprised when their fans cheered on their names and said, “This is a really meaningful achievement.”
ONEUS and The Boyz said: “It was an achievement that went beyond the competition and made all teams a star.”
The leaderboard was then announced for the collaboration mission, with the winner receiving 5,000 points. PENTAGON and ONF came first!
PENTAGON’s cinema wept after the leaderboard was released and said, “We have never been the first to enter since our debut, so it is a great relief to get first place even if it is.” I think our fans will be happy too. “
VERIVERY and TOO took second place and The Boyz and ONEUS took third place.
The third round was split into two missions. So far, the ranking for the third round is:
3. The Boyz
The groups then proceeded to their next task in the third round, a “Your Song” mission, in which each group performed a song that was selected by their partner team in the collaboration struggle.
ONEUS was challenged to play INFINITES “Be Mine”.
TOO was hired to do Got7’s “hard carry” and Got7 appeared on the show to give them advice.
ONF played Rain’s “It’s Raining”.
