“Tale of the Nine-Tailed” is about a man gumiho (a mythical nine-tailed fox) named Lee Yeon, who settled in town, and the fearless director named Nam Ji Ah (Jo Bo Ah) who tracks him down to find out the truth about her parents’ disappearance.
The new behind the scenes video focuses on the flashback kissing scene of Lee Yeon and his lover (also played by Jo Bo Ah) on the Sam Do River. The Sam Do River, also known as the Sanzu River or River of Three Crossings, is a mythological river that the souls of the dead must cross in order to reach the afterlife.
Despite the cold weather and the emotional scene, Lee Dong Wook eases the atmosphere by joking, “Do you think I did my own laundry by the waterfall when I was wearing white clothes?” In the boat surrounded by a blue screen, Jo Bo notes Ah, Lee Dong Wook’s hands are cold and gives him a hot pack to hold. When she wipes it off as nothing, he jokes, “What do you mean it’s nothing? My hands are so cold. It’s not nothing. You are a liar.”
As soon as the cameras start rolling, Lee Dong Wook delves deep into the character and sheds tears as he kisses his lover.
