In their first episode as regular DJs from “Idol Radio” DAY6s Young K and Got7Youngjae was cheered on by her group members!

Wonpil and Dowoon from DAY6 and Jinyoung and BamBam from Got7 joined the duo for their episode of May 18 as a “congratulations delegation”. The popular MBC radio show has been moderated by special DJs for about eight months after Ilhoon left the former DJ BTOB.

The new DJs shared their thoughts about taking over the radio show. Youngjae said he was nervous and said, “It still doesn’t seem to be real. I still feel like I’m just a special DJ.”

Jinyoung said, “Youngjae has said for seven years since we debuted that he wanted to be a DJ, and now his dream has come true.”

When asked if he was really close friends with Youngjae, Young K replied: “We are getting closer.”

To celebrate their first episode, Youngjae and Young K sang live for the audience. Young K sang Ruel’s “Face to Face” while Youngjae performed a cover of Paul Kim’s “Every Day, Every Moment”.

As label colleagues at JYP Entertainment, the two DJs and their guests shared some memories of the training together.

BamBam said: “When Young K finishes training in the dorm, he walks around shirtless.” Youngjae said, “I’m younger than Dowoon, but I remember one day when he called me that he surprised me.”HyungnimThe term is a formal way for a man to address an older brother or friend.

While the boys enjoyed sharing stories about their past, Young K suddenly performed a choreography that he had learned during his trainee days. The routine is known to be used at JYP Entertainment to teach students basic dance moves.

Youngjae, Jinyoung, BamBam, Wonpil and Young K then got up and everyone went through the routine!

When they finished the funny first episode, BamBam said: “I am glad that the dreams of the two DJs have come true. Please continue to give Youngjae and Young K a lot of love.”

Wonpil also said, “I hope Youngjae and Young K will be remembered as representative Idol Radio DJs for a long time to come.”

“Idol Radio” is broadcast daily from 1 am to 2 am and can also be viewed as a visible radio broadcast from 9 pm to 10 pm (except on weekends). KST on Navers V Live.
