The cast of “Hospital Playlist” gathered for the last farewell before the second season!
On June 4, tvN broadcast a special “Hospital Playlist” to take viewers behind the scenes of the hit drama. After the conclusion, the producers said to the main characters: “Thank you, we are sorry, and if there isn’t much else going on, we’ll see you in November.”
On the last day of filming, the lead actors, also known as the “99’s” (based on the year their characters all graduated from medical school) shared their thoughts on how to complete the drama. Jo Jung Suk commented: “It doesn’t feel real. I feel like I have to keep filming tomorrow and the week after.”
Yoo Yeon Seok asked: “Do I really have to let it go now? I can’t let Jung Won go yet. ” Jung Kyung Ho said: “Above all, the fact that the five of us were together made me happy instead of being alone. I think Joon Wan would be happy too. “
Jeon Mi Do said: “I am so grateful and it was an honor.” Kim Dae Myung commented, “I think this is one of my top 10 memories in life that I will remember forever.”
The special also showed the first meeting of the cast at their first script reading. It was previously known that Jo Jung Suk and Yoo Yeon Seok Jeon Mi Do had helped secure their roles by recommending them to the director. When Yoo Yeon Seok arrived, Jeon Mi Do said to him: “Thanks to you I have gained a great advantage.” He replied: “Jung Suk mentioned you too. This is because you are so clever. “
Jo Jung Suk was the last to arrive but immediately spread the uncomfortable atmosphere with his calming presence. He said to Jeon Mi Do: “I saw your performance. I heard you were good, but I thought, “She’s really good.”
Later in the special, the main cast took part in a short season interview. When asked what her favorite OST from the drama is, Jeon Mi Do Kwak Jin Eon chose “In front of the City Hall of the subway station” and said, “Should I say it has a melody that evokes nostalgia? The lyrics have a mood similar to our drama. “
She also chose Jung Kyung Ho’s character Kim Joon Wan as the friend who best suits her character, saying, “It’s because there are many scenes in which we eat together.”
Kim Dae Myung was asked if he was having trouble portraying a mother’s boy and doing many cute things, and he replied, “It was more difficult to play a mother’s boy.” He also chose Lee Ik Joon as the character he would like to try, but added with a laugh, “I don’t think I would be able to.”
Yoo Yeon Seok’s question was to evaluate his drum skills, to which he replied, “I think I could give myself a score in the late eighties.” His comment was praised by the cast. Kim Dae Myung said: “You suffered the most” and Jo Jung Suk added: “Yeon Seok and Kyung Ho have improved the most.”
Jo Jung Suk spoke about his OST track “Aloha” and commented: “Although I originally thought that music was important for this production, I didn’t know that I would receive so much love. I am so grateful. It is one Honor to my family. “
Jung Kyung Ho chose his line “Let’s go out” when he questioned Ik Soon (Kwak Sun Young) as the most heartbreaking line.
The episode also included many glitches, the cast’s favorite scenes, and farewell comments from the expanded cast.
The “99’s” also expressed the same excitement as the audience for the next season of “Hospital Playlist”. Jo Jung Suk said: “I think a few times a day what a relief it is that the drama has a second season.”
Jung Kyung Ho made a funny comment: “I looked in the mirror and saw Joon Wan. That’s why I dyed my hair. It is such a relief that it is not over yet. “
Kim Dae Myung said, “For the first time, I thought I was so happy to be an actor.”
Yoo Yeon Seok said: “I have heard from many people around me who felt very healed watching our drama. I was so proud that we did such a meaningful drama, and I think it was a miracle that was possible because we were together. “
Jeon Mi Do added: “Since I was portraying a doctor, it was inevitable that my feelings about medical personnel who worked so tirelessly would change completely. I think I could see deeply the sense of duty that they must have for their work. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them. “
Most recently, Jo Jung Suk said: “Thank you for loving season two. Please look forward to the infinite history of the 99s. “
The first season of the “Hospital Playlist” ended on May 30 and achieved a personal top grade with the finale. Although details have not been confirmed, the drama plans to prepare for a return with its next season later this year.
