The stars of tvN’s “Start-Up” have annoyed what viewers can expect from the upcoming drama!
“Start-Up” is a new drama in a fictional South Korean version of Silicon Valley in which young dreamers in the world of startup companies want to be successful.
With only one week left until the premiere, the lead role of “Start-Up” has personally selected the keywords that, in her opinion, best sum up the drama and its story.
Suzy: “A trip without a map”, “Cosmos” and “Remote control thief”
Suzy will star in the drama as Seo Dal Mi, an adventurer with big dreams who aspires to become Korea’s Steve Jobs.
Suzy chose the phrase “A Journey Without a Map” to express the risky and unpredictable road ahead of the characters in the drama, who jump into the world of startups and face great challenges rather than the safe path. The idol-turned actress also chose “Cosmos” to describe her tough, resilient character who thrives in harsh conditions – even if it’s a little late in life.
Eventually, Suzy chose the phrase “remote control thief” to tease that the drama’s riveting plot will make it impossible to switch channels.
Nam Joo Hyuk: “Beginning”, “Journey” and “Results”
Nam Joo Hyuk, who will appear as Samsan Tech founder Nam Do San, selected three keywords that make up a linear story.
“Beginning” emphasizes that the drama’s four main characters will make a fresh start when trying to write a new chapter in their respective stories, while “Journey” points out the eventful path that awaits them. Ultimately, the keyword “results” begs the question of what kinds of decisions the four characters will ultimately make over the course of the drama – and how those decisions will ultimately change their lives.
Kang Han Na: “Youth”, “dreams” and “root for”
Kang Han Na, who will play the chaebol heiress Won In Jae, summarized the inspirational plot of the drama with the keywords “youth” and “dreams”.
The actress also chose the phrase “Root for” to tease that viewers will root and cheer the characters of the drama on as they grapple with their harsh realities and try to overcome the myriad of obstacles that stand in their way.
Kim Seon Ho: “Han Ji Pyung”, “Investment Genius” and “Hot Dog”
Kim Seon Ho chose three sentences that directly relate to his character “Han Ji Pyung”, a team leader and “investment genius” at SH Venture Capital.
While his first two keywords couldn’t be simpler, Kim Seon Ho playfully teased, “If you want to know why I put the phrase ‘hot dog’ in, please turn on the show.”
“Start-Up” will premiere on October 17th at 9 pm. KST.
