Sung HoonThe agency Stallion Entertainment is currently involved in a legal dispute with a cosmetics company for which he is modeling.
In August 2018, Stallion Entertainment signed a contract with the company stating that Sung Hoon will participate in promotions as an exclusive model. It has now turned out that the contractual promises were not carried out as planned.
In February 2019, Stallion Entertainment tried to sue the cosmetics company for 200 million won (approximately $ 162,863), but lost due to the court’s decision that the contract did not violate any portrait or advertising rights. Stallion Entertainment appealed the decision, but the appeal was overturned and the original verdict confirmed when they did not appear for trial.
The cosmetics company has now cited this judgment as evidence that Sung Hoon should continue to model for her. A company representative said: “The modeling contract was valid all the time. We plan to continue marketing our product advertising regardless of legal measures. “
Stallion Entertainment said: “We raised the issue after seeing how the cosmetics company used Sung Hoon’s portrait rights outside the scope of the contract. Although we have lost the civil suit, we are preparing to file an indictment on the afternoon of June 2 or the morning of June 3 to file misconduct and embezzlement charges against the cosmetics company. “
