SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan is operated on after an ankle injury to temporarily stop activities

Pledis Entertainment announced this on July 21 SEVENTEEN’S Seungkwan will take a break from transportation because of an ankle injury.

Hello. This is Pledis entertainment.

We publish an announcement regarding the violation of SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan.

Recently, Seungkwan injured his ankle while practicing choreography and immediately went to the hospital for treatment and for a detailed examination. The exact diagnosis he was given is a “left ankle ligament tear”. Since the doctor felt that surgery was inevitable in this case, he was operated on last Saturday.

Seungkwan is currently focusing on recovery and finding stability after his surgery. He temporarily pauses to focus on the recovery and management of his health.

Therefore, we will do our utmost for Seungkwan’s treatment and rehabilitation for his full recovery. As of today, we will temporarily stop Seungkwan’s activities to protect our artist. Therefore, we ask for your understanding in advance so that he can concentrate exclusively on his recovery.

Until Seungkwan’s health recovers, SEVENTEEN will continue to carry out its planned promotions temporarily as 12 members.

We sincerely apologize for the sudden news that is worrying fans. We will consider our artist’s health as our first priority and do our best so that Seungkwan can greet fans after recovering in a healthy state as soon as possible.

We ask the fans for their generous understanding and support.

Thank you.

SEVENTEEN have recently returned with their seventh mini-album “Heng: garæ” and the title track “Left & Right”.
