Rose’s agency has stated that the band’s motion to terminate their contract has been denied by the courts.
In February of this year, it was reported that The Rose had sent a certificate of content requesting the termination of their contract with the J & STAR Company. The group listed allegations including the agency’s enforcement of an inadequate schedule and issues related to their payments. The agency issued a statement denying the band’s claims, saying it would take legal action.
In March, The Rose released a statement explaining their stance on their contract termination request with evidence of their claims, and the agency then rejected those claims with its own statement. On August 24th, the band released the song “Black rose. ”
On August 31st, the J & STAR Company stated, “In March of this year, The Rose filed a contract termination motion, citing grounds such as outstanding payments, fidelity and exclusive breach of contract. However, the court rejected this application. “
The agency added, “Arbitration is currently being conducted by the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board. We will try to resolve the matter amicably. “
