Rick and Morty once made fun of Marvel

One of the MCU’s most popular main characters is Star-Lord, the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Star-Lord is played by one of Hollywood’s most popular superstars, Chris Pratt, and is known for his charm, good looks, humor and bravery. His courage has helped save the galaxy several times, though his lack of self-control led directly to the Thanos snapshot that wiped out half of all life in the universe. But that’s another conversation.

In any case, Star-Lord got it Rick and Morty Treatment in “Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender” with the appearance of Vindicators member Vance Maximus, Renegade Starsoldier, voiced by the hilarious Christian Slater. Like Star-Lord, he flies around with a jetpack, wields a kind of radiation cannon and seems to offer a lot of swagger and wit. He “never forgets a child”, which has nothing to do with Star-Lord, but is creepy enough to warrant a mention. Unlike Star-Lord, who spends much of his screen time acting in his own interest before appearing as a hero in the end, Maximus does the opposite and selfishly tries to save his own skin before being brutal for his efforts is killed.
