Lee Yoo Ri shared her thoughts on her latest drama!
Channel A “Lie for lie”Is a new suspense romance drama about a woman who is willing to lie and risk her life to be reunited with her birth daughter. Lee Yoo Ri plays Ji Eun Soo, a woman whose life falls apart in the blink of an eye when she is accused of murdering her abusive husband, a’s heir Chaebol Family. Despite insisting that she is innocent, she is jailed for his murder and loses custody of her daughter.
The drama got off to a good start last weekend. The number of viewers more than doubled in the second episode.
Lee Yoo Ri described why she was attracted to the drama and the role of Ji Eun Soo, recalling, “After reading parts 1 through 4 of the script, I really wanted to appear in the drama. My last drama was a comedy, so this time I wanted to do something sincere and heartbreaking, even if it was difficult. “
The actress also showed a deep affection for her character, stating, “While Eun Soo’s situation may seem like a distant story, it can happen to even our closest friends and neighbors. I don’t consider myself separate from Eun Soo.”
When asked about her experience filming the drama, Lee Yoo Ri couldn’t say enough good things about her co-stars. She noted, “We filmed for about six months. We spent more time together than with our families. “
“Although the subject was difficult, we had a lot of fun filming,” she continued. “All of my co-stars, including Yeon Jung Hoon, have really great personalities. We spent a lot of time discussing [the drama]and we could bargain comfortably with one another. “
Lee Yoo Ri said the main question viewers should ask is “Who’s lying?”
Lee Yoo Ri also shared her character’s maternal instinct, commenting, “Eun Soo gave birth to her child in prison and was immediately separated from her. She’s a character who doesn’t know what maternal love is and she’s a novice who has a hard time expressing it. With this attitude I approached Eun Soo’s scenes. “
She added, “I didn’t do anything special to prepare. I think I just went with the flow of the drama to portray and build the character.”
When asked what was most memorable about the set, the actress finally replied, “Because it took so long to film this drama, I think I’m constantly reminded of every single person [in the cast and crew]. Since I spent a lot of time with the other actors, I have fond memories of working with them. “
