Lee Sang Yeob talks about his "once again" character, experiences career slumps and a lot more

Lee Sang Yeob participated in an interview about his recently completed hit drama “Once again”!

KBS2’s “Once Again” aired on September 13 and received impressive national averages of 33.6 percent and 34.8 percent for its two parts.

In the drama, Lee Sang Yeob plays Yoon Gyu Jin, a man who relives love after a divorce from Song Na Hee (played by) Lee Min Jung). As the two went back and forth between heartbreak and love, Lee Sang Yeob and Lee Min Jung received a lot of love for their excellent chemistry.

Although he usually creates his characters as he plays them, Lee Sang Yeob stated that this time around he wanted to portray “Lee Sang Yeobs Yoon Gyu Jin”. He responded and said, “I wanted to gradually blend in with my character. I wanted the fights in the drama to seem like real fights, and I even wanted my breathing and sighs to seem like my own. Starting from the middle, I think my picture really came out. I don’t know if the author did this on purpose, but Yoon Gyu Jin was a character whose speaking style was my own. “

Lee Sang Yeob also chose Lee Min Jung as his best acting partner, calling their experience as a couple very special. Commenting on her husband, he said, “It’s not that I didn’t feel conscious Lee Byung Hun [watching me act with Lee Min Jung]but I heard he saw our drama well. Since he was watching my acting it was very fascinating and an honor. “

He continued, “Through this drama, I was able to experience morning sickness, divorce, and reconciliation. I wanted to calmly portray our reconciliation. With that, of course, I started thinking about marriage. It was then that I realized that considerations that you are not talking about are not considerations at all. “

“Once again” ended with a happy ending for all characters, of which Lee Sang Yeob shared, “I really like this happy ending. All characters have matured.” Once again, “I also matured and got the opportunity to talk about happiness I think this drama showed the people in it really well. Although our actors played well, I think our writer wrote very well too. “

Earlier this year, Lee Sang Yeob also appeared in SBS’s “Good casting“And KBS’s” Again. “The actor commented,” I was wondering if this was possible or if it was allowed at all. The audience could be mistaken for Yoon Gyu Jin and Yoon Seok Ho, and since they were both my acting , I was worried if they would see them as the same. However, it was a relief that people saw both Yoon Gyu Jin and Yoon Seok Ho individually and positively. “

After spending the first three quarters of 2020 very busy, Lee Sang Yeob showed his need to recharge and felt like he’d gone out as an actor. He shared: “I’ve been thinking about what to fill this with. These days I’ve rested and slowly looked into my face again. I think I need change.”

Lee Sang Yeob made his debut in the KBS drama “A Happy Woman” in 2007 and is now in his 14th year as an actor. He confessed that when he was not known, he considered himself an actor who could not bring joy. Even though he’s now fulfilling his desires as an actor, he has shown that he is still experiencing the same slumps. Since he was never satisfied with himself, he believes that is why he could get as hard as he is today.

He added: “I think it’s good that I haven’t rested and kept playing. I’m pretty proud of myself that I haven’t given up. I think the endorphins I feel on set are my driving force Also, I use the sense of achievement I feel while trading to comfort myself. I think I am enjoying my time well, but I still overcome a slump. “
