Lee Min Ho has officially joined the cast of Apple TV + “Pachinko”!
The drama is based on Min Jin Lee’s bestseller of the same name, which follows four generations of a Korean immigrant family and tells their saga that takes place in Korea, Japan and the USA. The show is a global project with Korean, Japanese and English. The story is told in eight episodes. Filming will begin in Korea on October 26th and they also plan to film in Canada.
Lee Min Ho will play the character Hansu, who is a wealthy and powerful businessman with ties to organized crime. He’s an opportunist who stays true to his own desires, but he also hides a secret side of himself that is pure when it comes to love. This mysterious character is about to begin a forbidden romance and plays an important role in the story.
According to Variety, Lee Min Ho is joining a cast that includes Jin Ha, Anna Sawai, Kim Min Ha, Soji Arai, and Kaho Minami. The showrunner, executive producer, and lead writer on the drama is Soo Hugh, and Kogonada and Justin Chon will each direct four episodes.
