Joo Won remains unemotional, even though he is caught in a difficult situation in "Alice".

SBS’s upcoming Friday-Saturday drama “Alice” released new stills from Joo Won!

“Alice” is an emotional science fiction drama starring Joo Won as a detective who discovers the existence of time travel and crosses with a woman who resembles his dead mother (played by Kim Hee Sun.).

Joo Won returns to the drama world for the first time in three years and plays the apathetically born detective Park Jin Gyeom. Since the actor has taken on many challenging roles in the past, viewers very much expect his transformation in the upcoming drama.

On August 6, “Alice” released new stills that show the characteristics of Park Jin Gyeom. In the photos, Park Jin Gyeom is sitting alone in his school uniform. He makes himself small by leaning over and hinting that something has happened, but Park Jin Gyeom doesn’t look particularly scared. Rather, he has an intense expression with bright eyes and arouses curiosity about the situation Park Jin Gyeom found himself in and what he could think of.

Earlier, Alice’s production team commented that portraying the apathetic Jin Gyeom Park would pose a challenge to the actor, as he would need to express Park Jin Gyeom’s inner thoughts and changes without much expression. Despite the difficulties, Joo Won skillfully used his gaze, expression, and body language to convey the situation while playing the character.

The production team asked the audience to anticipate the drama and said: “Since Joo Won is back on the big screen for the first time in three years, he has done his best to immerse himself in his role and deal with ‘Alice’ thoroughly For this purpose, Joo Won’s version of the apathetic Park Jin Gyeom character was completed, which is only possible due to Joo Won. “

Premiere of “Alice” on August 28th at 10pm KST and will be available on Viki with English subtitles.
