J-Hope from BTS makes a generous donation to help children in need

BTSJ-Hope made another thoughtful donation!

Recently, J-Hope donated 100 million won (approximately $ 84,350) to children at risk in need. J-Hope is a member of ChildFund Korea’s Green Noble Club, which is made up of people who have donated large sums of money. He shared: “I hope the donation goes well to vulnerable children who have been harmed by various social problems, especially children who are having financial difficulties due to COVID-19.”

In 2018, J-Hope became the 146th member of the Green Noble Club, donating 150 million won (approximately US $ 129,580) to support children in need and help promising students achieve their dreams. In February 2019, the singer donated 100 million won to support low-income students attending his alma mater and an additional 100 million won to support children later in December that year.

This year, J-Hope’s donation will go to the Emergency Living Fund to help vulnerable children suffering financial hardship post COVID-19. With the added problems caused by the heavy rains and floods in Korea, the donation will provide great support to children in various difficult life situations.

In addition, SBS funE reported that J-Hope carried out this generous action without informing others. Recently, BTS and Big Hit Entertainment donated $ 1 million to Crew Nation to help concert crew members financially affected due to the postponement of concerts during the COVID-19 pandemic. BTS fans, ARMY, have also made many significant donations to help out with various causes.

Lee Je Hoon, Chairman of ChildFund Korea, said: “We thank J-Hope from the world famous BTS group for remembering children in difficult financial situations and for continuously making donations. ChildFund will follow its precious intentions and do our best to support children in need. “
