In an interview with ColliderHargrave discussed possible follow-up to the film, including ideas for a prequel and a sequel, focusing on the relationship between Tyler Rake von Hemsworth and his friend and ally Gaspar (David Harbor, Strange things) what he calls “so interesting” and given the “ambiguous ending” of the film, there are several ways he and Russo could go.
“We talked about it and our backstory is that these two guys are the guys who trained together and spent a lot of time together in the military and even outside the private military sector, and that their skills would match, but they just went different directions“Hargrave explained.”port [‘s character] became native, you could say. He found a life in Bangladesh and stayed there and rake went the other way. But their skills, if you’ve matched them up, they are somehow evenly matched up. To make up for the fact that rake did it [this work] consequently and not Harbor, we made sure that Chris had enough damage. If he was knocked down enough, we would believe that Harbor had the skills to knock him down.”
Despite his excitement about the prospect of future films and ideas about it, he notes that it does not initiallydiscussed something on the set“Between yourself, Russo and Hemsworth, but once Netflix”enjoyed the daily newspapersSomething has been researched.
“People said, “Oh, that could be …“Said Hargrave.”You talk about all these things. Is it a franchise? Is it all of these things? Who knows until the film comes out and the audience reacts. You will be the ones who decide. But it was talked about as soon as it did, Joe raised an interesting point that you get a sequel most of the time. You rarely go back in time in Prequels. You feel that Chris and Harbor have great chemistry, and we thought that if you go back in time, this is a very interesting way that you can play with the predecessor of such a story.

Russo also enjoyed the chemistry between his avenger Vet and the Black widow Star and believe that a prequel focused on them “is a great idea, “notice that”it would be interesting. ”
“Netflix was very happy with the film and very much supported it“Said Russo.”It was phenomenal to work with them. If you find an interesting character and world that you can explore with a great director, you will surely want to explore it further. My brother and I love franchise filmmaking, we love serialized storytelling. I just think that you can do interesting things with characters if you develop their story further. You are limited to two hours, you can only say so much, it is a very specific craft. If you extend the length of time that you display this character on the screen, you can make other decisions with it. So it would be damn exciting to work on a second film in this series again. We had the preliminary talks. The question is: does everything make sense? Can we find the right story to tell? Are we happy to tell that? Does Sam want to tell this story? Does Chris want to tell this story? Its a lot to do.”
