On December 15th, Cube Entertainment announced an update of its ongoing legal action against malicious commentators.
Hello, this is Cube Entertainment (hereby “Cube”).
First of all, we would like to thank all the fans who love and appreciate the Cube artists.
To protect the rights of our artists, Cube has set up a committee dedicated to protecting the rights and interests of artists. We firmly believe in repaying the love and attention of fans through good music and content.
The Artistic Rights Protection Committee has listened to fans’ voices online and is actively monitoring the spread of false rumors, insults, and sexual comments and changes intended to cause humiliation.
Recently, however, these malicious attacks have skyrocketed, making it difficult for Cube and our artists in the public spotlight to come to terms with. As fan concerns and worries have also increased, Cube has decided that we can no longer remain silent and that these attackers will bear full responsibility of the law. We filed criminal charges against these malicious commentators through a law firm.
The malicious attacks described above are serious crimes that violate criminal laws, such as the Law on Promoting the Use and Protection of Information in Information and Communication Networks, the Law on Punishment and etc. of Sexual Crimes. Cube will severely punish these offenders and show no indulgence.
The filing of these criminal charges was made possible thanks to the support and help of fans. Together with the fans, we want to continue to take tough action against those who commit malicious behavior.
We would like to thank everyone once again who showed love and attention for Cube artists. With your help, we’ll do our best to protect our artists.
Cube Entertainment hosts artists like BTOB, CLC, PENTAGON, (G) I-DLE, Jo Kwon, Jang Hyun Seung as well as various actors, comedians and more.
