The fourth Japanese full album of the group “Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~” was released on July 15th. It contains a total of 13 songs with Japanese versions of many of their Korean tracks and two new Japanese original songs: the title track “Stay Gold” and “Your Eyes Tell”, co-written by Jungkook.
Billboard has now released its charts for the week ending July 25th. “Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~” ranks 115th on the Billboard 200, which has the most popular albums in the US in all genres.
The album is now the twelfth of the group debuting in the table, and extends BTS ‘record as a Korean artist with the most albums included on the Billboard 200.
Her new title “Your Eyes Tell” is also number 1 on the World Digital Song Sales charts – “Stay Gold” also topped the charts for the week of July 4 when it was released before the album was released.
Meanwhile, the Korean BTS albums “Map of the Soul: 7” and “Love Yourself: Answer” on Billboard 200 remain in this week’s table. “Map of the Soul: 7” is in the 21st week on the chart and rises to 51st place, while “Love Yourself: Answer” spends its 80th week on the chart and climbs to 146th place.
The new BTS album has also made history in Japan. “Map of the Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~” set a new record for the first week’s highest sales on Oricon ever made by a male foreign artist.
