BLACKPINK's Jennies "SOLO" overtakes PSY's "Gangnam Style" on Spotify and becomes the most streamed song by the Korean soloist

BLACKPINK’S Jennie just set a new record on Spotify!

On October 16, YG Entertainment officially announced that Jennie’s solo debut track “SOLO” from BLACKPINK had exceeded 240.8 million streams on Spotify. This makes it the most streamed song by a Korean soloist on the platform.

The previous record for the most streamed song by a Korean soloist was held by PSY’s 2012 hit “Gangnam Style,” which garnered over 240.6 million streams on Spotify.

“SOLO” made Spotify history once this year when it was the first song by a Korean female soloist to top 200 million streams on the platform in April.

Congratulations to Jennie on her impressive performance!
