AOA's Seolhyun's upcoming drama provides a brief response to a call to resign

The upcoming TVN drama “Night and Day” (literal title) has released a brief statement in response to the call for AOAs Seolhyun step down from their role.

Seolhyun was previously in talks for “Day and Night”, which will star Namgoong min. The drama is about an incident that took place in a village 26 years ago. People who have gained intelligence beyond normal human abilities to lose their emotions will, due to the mysterious incident, gather together to defeat the people who used them as tools. In doing so, they try to find their identity as normal people.

Namgoong Min plays Do Jung Woo, a special detective with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and Lee Chung Ah also played as an FBI agent in talks. Seolhyun plays the role of Gong Hye Won, a police inspector for the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

“Night and Day” will air sometime in the second half of this year and is currently in the middle of filming. In early July, former AOA member Mina Jimin accused her of bullying her while she was in the girls’ group. Jimin eventually left the group, but in some of her subsequent allegations, Mina said that other members of the AOA, including Seolhyun, acted as bystanders in the affair. As a result, some people on the internet have asked Seolhyun to step back from her new drama.

A source in the drama stated, “We plan to move forward as planned. Unless the actress expresses a desire to resign, we will not make any changes. “
