Play M Entertainment’s newest girl group, Weeekly, now has a fan club name!
On August 23, Weeekly hosted a V Live broadcast to share the results of the fan club’s name search. The girls’ group had previously asked fans for suggestions via their official fan café.
After discussing the nominations, Weeekly announced that their fans will be known as Daileee! “Daileee” means “without daily, weekly cannot exist”. The spelling and pronunciation are designed to be as “weeekly” as possible.
The other suggestions were HARU, which means “day” in Korean and “hope to always be a round U” in English. YOIL, which means “weekday” in Korean and “You are the only one I love” in English; and Today, which is the meaning of “as a week cannot be completed without today, neither can Weeekly without its fans.”
Weeekly made her debut on June 30th with Tag Me (@Me).
