Suzy leaves a strong impression on viewers at tvN’s “Start-Up”!
“Start-Up” takes place in a fictional South Korean version of Silicon Valley, where young dreamers set out to be successful in the world of startups. Suzy plays Seo Dal Mi, an adventurer who dreams of becoming Steve Jobs in Korea Nam Joo Hyuk plays the role of Samsan Tech founder Nam Do San.
Below are three ways Suzy’s character will captivate viewers with her passion!
Ambition to turn the tables
Unlike her mother and sister, who were fine after leaving the family behind, Seo Dal Mi was busy putting on a show to hide whatever she lacked. Ultimately, Seo Dal Mi decided that her decision to stay with her father was the right one, and she joined the startup industry to win against her older sister, Won In Jae (Kang Han Na) who believed her decision was the wrong answer.
Suzy portrays Seo Dal Mi’s strong determination with her lively gaze and draws onlookers to support her character. Episode 10 in particular revealed that Won In Jae Seo Dal Mis stole past memories of her father and used what was the story of the girl with the swing and sandpit.
Shining ambition to love
Seo Dal Mi has gradually fallen in love with Nam Do San (Nam Joo Hyuk) and believes that he is the one who wrote her the letters from 15 years ago. Also, Nam Do San appeared and held Seo Dal Mi’s hands whenever she felt the smallest. In return, Seo Dal Mi said to him affectionately: “My commitment is yours.”
Although the current Nam Do San was a little different than the Nam Do San she knew in the past, she felt her heart flutter even more around him, which eventually led to their romantic first kiss. When Nam Do San was finally forced to reveal that it was all a lie, he still came to assist Seo Dal Mi when she needed it. The audience is curious as to which way Seo Dal Mi’s feelings will lean.
Ambition for success
Seo Dal Mi started her journey to win against her sister, but she has become proud of Samsan Tech and has faith in the company to become the best. She would stay up all night developing a good idea for her business and she would sincerely respond to all users and reflect her growth into a reliable CEO. Although Seo Dal Mi fails on the way there, she does not regret her decisions and courageously implements her decisions once they are made. The tenacity and leadership skills of Seo Dal Mi ultimately also convinced Jung Seo Ha of Samsan Tech (Stephanie Lee), Kim Yong San (Kim Do Wan) and Lee Chul San (Yoo Soo Bin). As CEO, Seo Dal Mi is able to make others’ concerns go away with their skills.
As “Start-Up” enters the second half of the story, viewers are becoming increasingly curious about what decisions Seo Dal Mi will make in the future.
“Start-Up” will be broadcast on the weekend at 9 pm. KST.
