“Live On” is a JTBC romantic drama starring Minhyun as Go Eun Taek, a perfectionist who runs his high school broadcast club I’m young as Baek Ho Rang, a school star and social media influencer who joins the club with ulterior motives.
Despite his chilly, aloof demeanor, Go Eun Taek has a hidden soft side and can become a warm source of comfort when seeing others suffer. Here are three of Go Eun Taek’s lines that anyone could use to watch butterflies:
1. “It turns out that change can occasionally lead to good things.”
Until Baek Ho Rang came into his life, Go Eun Taek meticulously planned every minute and second of his waking hours, and he stuck to that schedule like clockwork. However, when Baek Ho Rang’s chaotic arrival repeatedly forced him to deviate from the schedule, Go Eun Taek finally realized that her presence in his life was a good thing and had positively influenced him. As he came to this revelation, he also became aware of his feelings for Baek Ho Rang, which he articulated in his usual straightforward manner.
2. “Everyone may have secrets, but not everyone has a sad ending.”
In the latest episode of “Live On,” Go Eun Taek comforted Baek Ho Rang with a message of hope – and he warmed the hearts of the audience in the process. Minhyun’s righteous look and the thoughtful, warm tone in which he delivered the line particularly brought Go Eun Taek’s feelings to life.
3. “When you develop enough trust in me that you feel comfortable when you show me everything, I will become a part of your life.”
While Go Eun Taek empathized with Baek Ho Rang’s pain on the roof, he was both considerate and patient when he offered to wait for her until she was comfortable to confide in him. The respectful feeling made it clear how much he cared about her feelings, and not only did Baek Ho Rang open her heart to him, but it also melted the hearts of the audience.
“Live On” is broadcast on Tuesdays at 9:30 pm. KST.
